How do you stand out when talking about food and nutrition?

Communicating on sustainable nutrition

No need to say: the topic of sustainable nutrition and healthy foods is hot. The world is increasingly aware of the far reaching consequences of how we feed ourselves and the impact it has, not just on our physical health but also on the wellbeing of our communities, environment and the future of our planet.

Yet, how do you create compelling stories and/or visualise abstract aspects such as food security, malnutrition or the issue of keeping food markets working during Covid-19 ? Our team at Makmende has many years of experience in crafting stories for organisations such as Global Alliance of Improved Nutrition, Youth in Agroecology and Business Learning Track Africa, AgriproFocus, the UN Food Summit and many others. During this workshop we illustrate the pitfalls and discoveries of storytelling and look specifically at some food(security) related cases.
